Club Guidelines
Visiting GCC as the guest of a member? Here are a few of our general rules to make you feel more comfortable:
Cell Phones
The use of cell phones is limited to the parking lot, locker rooms and in the phone booths located in the main Clubhouse hallway. Cell phone ringers should be off or on silent mode while on the premises.
Cigarette Smoking
Cigarette smoking is prohibited in all Club buildings, dining areas, all athletic areas and the pool area.
Cigar and Pipe Smoking
Cigar and Pipe smoking is prohibited.
Attire for Dining
Clothing ranging from sports to dressy attire is acceptable at all Club eating venues except the Manheim Dining Room.
In the Manheim Dining Room, men and young men aged 16 and over must wear a suit or sports jacket (no tie is required). Additionally, no diners may wear jeans, t-shirts, sneakers or athletic attire.
Tennis Attire
- All tennis attire, including clothing, footwear and accessories, worn by all players on the outdoor and indoor courts must be white in colour, with no more than modest colour trim.
- Tennis shoes must be appropriate to the surface and may not have cleats or other sole design features that might damage court surfaces.
- Players are permitted to wear non-white warm-ups over white tennis attire while warming up or playing on all courts between September 15 and May 15.
- For men, collared or crew neck tennis specific shirts are required.
Squash Attire
- All squash attire, including clothing, accessories and warm-up gear, must be white in colour with no more than modest colour trim.
- Court shoes must have non-marking rubber soles.
- All squash players must wear eye guards for play at all times.
