About The Germantown Cricket Club
The Germantown Cricket Club, founded in 1854, is a unique country club that boasts many activities including tennis, squash, swimming, bowling, cricket and fitness; all situated on 14 beautifully landscaped acres in historic Germantown. The Club is conveniently located 10 minutes from the centre of Philadelphia and is easily accessed from all suburban areas.
A certified National Historic Landmark, the Clubhouse was designed and built in 1891 by the internationally acclaimed architectural firm McKim, Mead and White. Nowadays the facilities at Germantown Cricket Club are frequently updated to ensure our amenities are of the highest standards while maintaining the Club’s rich heritage and ambience.
The Club features 24 grass tennis courts, 12 clay, 3 har-tru and 6 hard courts in addition to 4 indoor tennis courts, providing the members 5 different surfaces to play on. The last major capital improvement program included the addition of 3 international squash courts, one of which is enclosed by glass for optimum viewing.
